Many senior citizens have chronic health conditions-such as arthritis, hypertension, hearing loss or vision impairment-that require varying amounts of accommodation, monitoring and treatment. The State of California has set standards that enable retirement communities to apply for a license to provide what has become known as assisted living services. Marymount Greenhills is fully licensed as an assisted living community and is located in the heart of downtown Millbrae, California, just a short drive from either San Francisco, San Jose or the Oakland-East Bay.

Staff is available to meet residents' scheduled and unscheduled needs, to monitor their well being, to give personalized assistance with light health care, to provide medications management, to aid with walking and transferring, and to offer personal care with grooming, bathing, dressing and other activities of daily living.

Four levels of assisted care are available so to accommodate those with light or heavier care needs. Service plans are reviewed regularly by management with direct involvement of the resident and, if they choose, members of their families.
